Ricoh Women's British Open begins with highlights tonight on BBC Two

Our busy summer continues, we're at Royal Lytham and St. Annes with CTV for the BBC.  Coverage begins with their highlights coverage tonight at 23:15 on BBC Two.

Guaranteeing of the numerous edits, shared storage and EVS integration is being taken care of by our media systems engineer Clair Cooley.  Although as individuals, a number of our staff have worked on the Women's Open Golf in previous years, this is a first for The Collectv.  It follows another successful Men's Open Championship and a busy summer of Sport in the UK.

World Matchplay final sees Gary Anderson against Mensur Suljovic

This evening see's the World Matchplay final, following just over a week of darts at Blackpool's Winter Gardens.  Sky Sports have shown coverage all week, with The Collectv providing all EVS and edit integration across a total of 5 Adobe CC systems.

Meanwhile, we're at the Hungaroring with FOM and Presteigne.  Providing Whisper Films edit systems and EVS integration along with remote technical support.  Following a thrilling qualifying in ever deteriorating conditions, the Mercedes start on the front row of the grid closely followed by the Ferrari's.

The Open final round

The wind picks up as the leaders Speith, Schauffele and Kisner get ready to tee off.  Speith is looking for back to back Open wins.  The 147th Open Championship, this year at Carnoustie Golf Links, see's us providing and supporting all of the edits for NBC's broadcast operation, while we also design and support some of the intricacies to the host ETP tapeless workflow, all working alongside our friends at CTV.

Meanwhile the German Grandprix is now underway and we're on site in Blackpool for the 2nd day of the Betvictor World Matchplay darts with Sky Sports.  The opening night saw one of the biggest shocks in recent dart matches with Michael van Gerwen suffering an early exit against fellow Dutchman de Zwaan.

Half Way Through...

It's round 11 of the 2018 Formula 1 season and we're here with FOM and supporting Presteigne Charter for Whisper Films Channel 4 coverage.

With such a tightly contested F1 drivers Championship between Vettel and Hamilton at this point in the year, there will be no let up on ensuring the coverage is as complete and well-balanced as ever.  Hamilton won the last German GP back in 2017 however Vettel has the lead in the Championship, will this momentum see him extend his lead over his British rival?

Talking of momentum, everyone at The Collectv is in full swing this week.  The British Open continues, where we're supporting NBC and ETP with CTV, at Carnoustie. 

Meanwhile we're also in Blackpool with Sky Sports, for the Betvictor World Matchplay darts.

Highlights of today's F1 qualifying will be on Channel 4 from 5:30pm, with race highlights from 6:45pm on Sunday.

24 Hours in Police Custody

We created a bespoke mini rig system for the Bafta nominated documentary series ‘24 hours in Police Custody’.  Working with NEP, The Garden Productions required a system that could record numerous streams of HD video at anytime over numerous weeks and at almost any time of day.  Having a reliable and straight forward record and backup solution was crucial.  In addition to this solution we provided remote support for over 20 weeks so that production always had a helping hand and someone technical to speak to should they need it.

Whether it's a fixed rig in a hard to access location, or a sporting event around the world, we are constantly coming up with new solutions that work for our clients.  Our flexible approach to technology and our enthusiastic team of engineers and media managers ensure that whatever the workflow or budgetary requirements, we deliver solid and dependable solutions.
