One more time...

We're on air for the final race of the 2017 F1 World Championship, live from the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

We're closing out a long season, where we've had the pleasure of working with Gearhouse Broadcast, providing Edit, Server and Network support and Media Management at every race this year as part of Sky Sports' European coverage in Italy, Germany and the UK.

At the same time, we've supported our edit systems for Presteigne Charter, the facilities company responsible for Channel 4's F1 coverage, and we've provided remote support for this system throughout the year.

On the track, everything is done and dusted - Lewis Hamilton is the World Champion, and Mercedes are the Constructers Champions as the cars line up on the grid this afternoon. But attention is firmly fixed on the 2018 season still to come.

Prime Time Racing

Our engineer James is in one of our favourite places this week for the latest round of the 2017 F1 World Championship: Austin, Texas. A fantastic city to host a Grand Prix!

As always, James is working with Gearhouse Broadcast and Sky Sports. This week, focus shifts to workflows for next season, and we've been helping out with some exciting new technical developments for the year ahead. 

On the track, Lewis Hamilton can win the World Championship title in this evening's race, which gets underway at 8pm UK time.

Emerald Arrows

This week we are in Ireland for the Unibet World Grand Prix staged at Dublin's Citywest Hotel, as 32 players compete for £400,000 in prize money live on Sky Sports.

Michael van Gerwen was the bookies favourite to win the Unibet World Grand Prix title, losing out to John Henderson in the first round.  With van Gerwen out, the tournament is now wide open for a new winner, with Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney and Australian Simon Whitlock set to face off in the final this evening.

We’re supplying Sky Sports with Edit, Ingest and Media Management systems using the latest Adobe builds, running Windows 10 and the latest version of EVS IP Link, which has eradicated some of the bugs from previous versions

Tune into ‘Sky Sports Main Event’ or ‘Sky Sports Mix’ at 8pm tonight to see who will be crowned winner of the 2017 Unibet World Grand Prix.

Malaysia's 'F1nale'

Good morning from the Sepang Circuit, on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The F1 circus arrived here for the last time this week for the 19th, and final, Malaysia GP.

With the rain falling, we're expecting another dramatic race which could be another big step towards the Drivers' World Championship with Lewis Hamilton starting on pole position, and Sebastian Vettel, Hamilton's main rival, starting at the back of the grid after engine trouble in Qualifying.

We're working with Sky Sports and Gearhouse Broadcast as usual, and we fly straight to Japan tomorrow for the next round.
