Our experience in the field of fixed rig is industry-leading, and our recording systems have delivered robust resilience and reliability time and again for our clients. We've installed our bespoke systems far and wide; whether it be a Mexican beach villa for Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle or embedded in a school for Channel 4’s Educating Manchester, we're used to challenging environments and our team are there to guarantee every frame of your content. We can also provide logging services on-site to add metadata which can follow you from location into your post production facility and because we are completely agnostic in our approach, this can be any facility of your choice.
Single DIT with flyaway kit on location
We can provide any scale of system, from a single DIT with a laptop, to multiple racks of equipment. This service is built around a portable flyaway system operated by a single media manager (DIT), where a production mainly needs camera card ingest, backup and LTO creation on location. In some cases where there are multiple PSC crews shooting round the clock, we can double up the kit and the additional crew can be on location too, or even remote, helping keep you budget and covid practices in check. We are well-versed in rigorous workflow requirements and can ensure that your content is securely backed-up and conforms to the requirements of broadcasters and streaming companies such as Netflix and Apple.
Fixed Rig Record
Built for any scale of fixed rig, our record and ingest service is bespoke designed for each production, whether it’s a big glossy reality show in a luxurious beach environment or a fly on the wall documentary micro rig in a police station. We offer one of the world’s most flexible record system and can record in a wide range of codecs and frame rates, as well as HD and UHD. Multiple streams are simultaneously backed up by superfast storage to secure your media in multiple locations. If you also have PSC crews for profiles and master interviews, we can integrate that media into our ingest system and ensure this is stored with the same level of security as the fixed rig content. We can add logging and remote review systems to allow your production team to view enriched metadata and crucial content without the need to be on site. We know reality shows can be daunting. Reality as an unscripted format along with 10’s of cameras in an often sprawling fixed rig, usually come with a large crew. We pride ourselves on being part of the production. Its completely normal for us to be involved with a fixed rig right at the beginning, often over a year before the start of the record. We support your production team and editorial teams. Walking you though steps with the broadcaster, breaking down the requirements from all sides and coming up with a flexible and bespoke solution. It is key for our team to break things down, ensure everything is considered and understood so that production have the right information to make the best decisions. No, we haven’t forgotten about the budget either, bespoke doesn’t need to mean expensive. We offer options to find the best compromise between production departments but always with the goal of helping to bring the best show possible to the screen.
Studio Records
With the founding members of our team having gained their experience at ITV’s London Studios, we know studio shows inside out. When it comes to recording studio feeds in the highest possible quality and making them quickly available to fast turnaround edit facilities, we understand and can provide every link in the chain. This approach, adopted by shows such as ITV’s Dancing on Ice, means that our work frequently reaches large primetime audiences.
